Proceed only after understanding alternatives, risks, costs and follow-up.

Discharge
Receive medicines, warning signs, contacts and written instructions.

Follow-up at home
Maintain access to appropriate local assessment when required.
Travel and clinical decisions
Coordination can organise timing; it cannot clear you to travel
Before travel
Check passport and visa requirements, travel insurance terms, medication transport, mobility needs and the possibility that assessment may change or cancel treatment.
Before flying home
Only the responsible clinical team can advise fitness to fly. Procedure type, recovery, wound condition, clot risk and flight duration all matter.
Continuity of care
Know who to contact and where to be examined
Before treatment, establish which reviews occur in Istanbul, who receives questions after discharge, which symptoms require urgent care, how records will be shared and what local follow-up may be needed. Remote photographs can support communication but cannot replace an examination when one is clinically required.
